Method of operation
The activities that are executed to plan and control the total test process yield certain products, such as the master
test plan and reports, but also procedures, instructions and project documentation (such as minutes of meetings).
In consultation with the client and other stakeholders, the deliverables are determined. A choice can then be made in
the master test plan as to which test levels must deliver which test products. These may be testware, such as test
plans or test scripts or (automated) regression tests, i.e. products that are eligible for reuse, but also test
documentation, like progress reports. In addition to specifying deliverables, this may also include standards with
which the products must comply. Finally, the common use of tools for configuration and test management helps enforce a
uniform operating method and facilitate subsequent management.
